Instead of relying on a single channel, the campaign intentionally broadens its scope. SEWA's involvement means the message will travel through utility networks and communication platforms that already reach households across Sharjah, giving the initiative far greater reach than a traditional police campaign might manage on its own.
One of the more practical elements of the campaign is the distribution of printed leaflets in multiple languages across workers' residences and housing communities. It's a straightforward acknowledgement that Sharjah is home to a hugely diverse population and that safety advice is only useful if people can actually read and understand it. The campaign will also run across social media, keeping it visible to younger and more digitally connected residents.
The police have been clear that most of this type of theft is entirely avoidable. Locking your front door properly, not leaving a bag on the passenger seat, and keeping valuables out of sight are all simple, but together they significantly reduce opportunities for opportunistic crime. Residents are encouraged to report anything suspicious in their neighbourhood, with the force stressing that looking out for one another is a key part of community life.
