Sharjah Police and SDHR honour “Occupational Safety" graduates

The event was attended by Brigadier General Omar Al Ghazal Al Shamsi, Director General of the General Directorate of Operations and Security Support at Sharjah Police; Colonel Jassim bin Taliah, Director of the Accreditation and Training Department at Sharjah Police; and a number of officials from both entities.

Enhancing workplace safety culture
Brigadier General Al Shamsi reaffirmed Sharjah Police’s commitment to building a complete preventive framework focused on raising awareness, promoting a strong culture of workplace safety, and embedding the principles of prevention and professional responsibility in a sustainable way.

He noted that such efforts contribute to enhancing institutional performance and maintaining the highest levels of operational readiness. He added that the programme focuses on preparing specialised personnel capable of responding efficiently to potential risks and workplace emergencies through practical knowledge and advanced professional skills that help safeguard individuals and protect property in line with recognised professional standards and best practices.

Supporting institutional integration
The Director General of the General Directorate of Operations and Security Support also praised the close cooperation with SDHR, describing it as a major factor behind the project’s continued success and sustainability.

He said the initiative reflects a spirit of institutional integration and effective partnership while supporting Sharjah’s broader vision of enhancing quality of life and strengthening institutional preparedness across government entities.
