Sharjah 24: Sharjah Police (SP) is among the forces making its mark at the Abu Dhabi Global Sustainable Security Summit and the International Exhibition for National Security and Resilience (ISNR) 2026, held under the patronage and in the presence of His Highness Lt General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior. Attending is part of a wider push to stay sharp on global security trends and to bring back ideas and experience from some of the world's leading security organisations.

Major General Abdullah Mubarak bin Amer, Commander-in-Chief of Sharjah Police, joined a panel session titled "Leading the Future: How Nations Protect Their Stability in the Age of Artificial Intelligence." His message was clear: keeping people safe is not something police forces can do alone. It requires institutions and communities to work together, with public awareness and genuine cooperation at the heart of the system — not as add-ons, but as essentials.

He spoke about what makes the UAE different — a society where people look out for one another, where trust runs deep, and where that collective mindset has enabled the country to get ahead of problems before they escalate. None of that, he stressed, is accidental. It is the product of far-sighted leadership and institutions that understand exactly what is expected of them. The end result is a place where everyone — citizens, residents, and visitors — can go about their lives feeling secure, and where the UAE's standing as a world standard for safety and quality of life continues to strengthen.

Innovation on display

Major General bin Amer was also clear that attending ISNR is not just about visibility — it is about demonstrating where Sharjah Police is heading. Harnessing AI and smart technology to serve the community is central to the force's strategy and sits squarely within the UAE government's broader ambition to build a future where security is proactive and innovation-led.

The force showcased some of its most forward-thinking work on the exhibition floor. Visitors could see a cybersecurity and digital case management laboratory, a traffic safety system powered by intelligent data analysis, a drone fleet built for field operations, an advanced radar system for traffic monitoring, and the Ineos Grenadier — a heavy-duty rapid-response vehicle ready for emergencies and disasters. What ties them together is their origin: Sharjah Police's own innovation labs and inventor support programmes. This is a force that is not waiting for technology to arrive from elsewhere — it is building it.
