UAE secures top global rankings in 2025

Sharjah24-WAM: The United Arab Emirates has secured leading positions across major global competitiveness and development indices in 2025, reflecting sustained institutional strength, economic resilience, and forward-looking governance.

The UAE ranked among the world’s top five economies in the IMD World Competitiveness Ranking 2025, scoring 96.09 out of 100 and maintaining its position as the highest-ranked country in the region for the ninth consecutive year. In the Global Soft Power Index 2025, the country placed 10th globally, and its nation brand value rose to $1.223 trillion, reinforcing its international influence.

Human development and talent leadership

In the UNDP Human Development Index 2025, the UAE advanced 11 places to 15th globally, remaining the only Arab country in the top 20. The country also climbed to 9th place in the IMD World Talent Rankings, reflecting strong workforce readiness and global appeal.

Health, digital and safety excellence

The UAE ranked first globally in health outreach and wellbeing promotion and topped several digital government indicators, including telecommunications infrastructure and AI readiness. It was also named the world’s safest country in mid-2025 and ranked first globally for entrepreneurship for the fourth consecutive year.
