The race offers a range of distances to suit different fitness levels: 12km, 6km, 3km and 1km. Races will start at short intervals from 7:15 am. Winners will be honoured at the closing ceremony with commemorative medals featuring the official race logo.
Registration is now open online, allowing participants of all ages and nationalities to take part in the season-opening event. The Council has invited sports enthusiasts and challenge-seekers to join the run, highlighting the event’s inclusive community focus and family-friendly atmosphere.
Bakheet Saeed Al Qars, Director of the Sports and Community Events Department, described the Al Dhaid Fort Desert Run as the first in a series of activities planned for the year. He thanked the supporting and sponsoring entities, stressing that they are key partners in the success of all events organised by the Council.
