APL: Shabab Al Ahli close in on Al Ain with 3–1 win over Ajman

Sharjah 24: Shabab Al Ahli strengthened their title challenge in the ADNOC Pro League after securing a 3–1 victory over Ajman in a rescheduled Matchday 10 fixture played on Wednesday evening at Rashid Stadium.

Goals secure vital three points

Shabab Al Ahli took control of the match with goals from Matheus Henrique in the 23rd minute and Bala in the 30th minute. Ajman reduced the deficit through Walid Azaro in the 39th minute, but Sultan Adel sealed the win with a third goal in the 53rd minute.

Standings tighten at the top

With the win, Shabab Al Ahli moved to 29 points, closing the gap to just one point behind league leaders Al Ain. Ajman remain on 13 points, sitting ninth in the league standings.
