First Amiri Guard sports tournament wraps up on a high note

Sharjah 24: Major Mohammed Al-Souqi, Vice Chairman of the Organising Committee for the First Amiri Guard Sports Tournament, expressed his delight at the closing ceremony, which received widespread acclaim. He congratulated the winning teams and expressed hope for the continuation of the tournament, along with the organisation of diverse championships in other sports in the future.

The closing ceremony was attended by Sheikh Dr Khalid bin Humaid Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Sharjah Sports Council; His Excellency Major General Jassim Al Khayyal, Commander-in-Chief of the Amiri Guard; and several senior officials and officers. The event witnessed strong participation and engagement from all attendees.

Honourable results and fair competition

In the football competitions, the Sharjah Police General Command secured first place, followed by the Sharjah Police Academy in second. In volleyball, the Amiri Guard General Command claimed first place, with Sharjah Company finishing second.

Al-Souqi highlighted that the true victory was reflected in the values of unity, teamwork, and community engagement demonstrated throughout the tournament. These principles align with the event’s ultimate goal of strengthening ties between participating institutions.
