2300 compete in Tigers Obstacle Race in Khorfakkan

Sharjah24: Hassan Ahmed Al Jasmi, Director of the Projects Department at the Sharjah Government Media Bureau (SGMB), announced the launch of the Tigers Obstacle Race from the Khorfakkan Amphitheatre on Saturday. Organised by the (SGMB), the event attracted wide participation, with 2300 competitors from various segments of society, in a family-oriented sporting event combining challenge, fitness and tourism.

Race categories and distances

In statements to Sharjah 24, Al Jasmi explained that the race featured four categories, including a professional category over an 8-kilometre distance, a general race over 8 kilometres, a 4-kilometre race, and a dedicated children’s race, ensuring participant safety and accommodating different age groups.

Showcasing Khorfakkan’s landmarks

Al Jasmi added that the race route was carefully selected to highlight the cultural, natural and tourist landmarks that characterise the Bride of the Eastern Coast, reflecting the city’s beauty and environmental diversity.

Appreciation and future outlook

The Director of the Projects Department extended his thanks to all participants and sponsors, expressing his hope for the continued success of the race in future editions.
