Sharjah24: Sharjah Capability Development “Tatweer”, affiliated with Rubu Qarn Foundation for Creating Future Leaders and Innovators, has opened registration for the ‘ATA’A ’ (Giving) initiative. This community youth programme aims to instil gratitude, empathy, and responsibility in young people while promoting a leadership-driven volunteer culture capable of making a real difference in society.

Hands-on learning and meaningful community engagement

The initiative provides a comprehensive learning experience that combines interactive workshops with purposeful field visits. Participants gain cultural and social awareness, develop communication skills, and engage in constructive dialogue with diverse communities, broadening their perspectives and understanding of societal needs.

Transforming volunteering into a sustainable journey

ATA’A seeks to move beyond temporary volunteer work, offering a lasting journey of learning, awareness, and impact. Young participants explore community challenges and strengths, exchange experiences, and acquire practical insights that empower them to create positive change.

The initiative is guided by five key values—empathy, impact, connection, gratitude, and responsibility—which underpin all activities. These values shape participants’ experiences, strengthen leadership skills, and foster social accountability.

Institutional perspective

Abeer Al Khaja, Director of Corporate Communications at Tatweer, emphasised that the ATA’A initiative reflects the institute’s belief in the pivotal role of youth in building a cohesive society capable of creating sustainable positive change. She highlighted that the programme aims to instil empathy, gratitude, and responsibility as practical values that influence young people’s behaviour and community engagement.

She added that ATA’A provides a comprehensive human-centred experience, enabling participants to learn through direct interaction with diverse communities and engage in constructive dialogue, broadening their horizons and enhancing social and humanitarian awareness. This aligns with Sharjah’s vision of empowering youth and cultivating socially responsible community leaders.

The programme is open to Sharjah youth aged 18 and above who are motivated to engage in transformative experiences, step beyond their comfort zones, and contribute meaningfully to society.

Interested candidates can apply through Tatweer’s official registration channels. The initiative offers a unique opportunity to gain practical, human-centred experience while making a positive and lasting impact on the community.
