Organised in collaboration with Gulf Drug LLC and the Emirates Clinical Pharmacy Society (ECPS), the seminar was held in the presence of Professor Mohammed El-Gamal, Acting Dean of the College of Pharmacy. It brought together a distinguished group of healthcare experts, hospital pharmacy directors, pharmaceutical department leaders, and academic specialists to examine emerging technologies reshaping pharmacy and healthcare.
The programme featured specialist scientific lectures and interactive panel discussions, focusing on practical approaches to integrating automation and digital health solutions into clinical and pharmaceutical practice. Speakers shared insights into real-world applications, best practices, and successful regional and international experiences.
The seminar aimed to bridge the gap between academic education and professional practice by creating a platform for dialogue among students, academics, and healthcare professionals. It also emphasised strengthening collaboration between universities and the healthcare sector, while inspiring future pharmacists to engage with innovation and digital transformation.
The event also showcased students’ scientific posters presenting research and initiatives in digital pharmacy and healthcare automation, reflecting the University of Sharjah’s commitment to research excellence and sustainable professional development.
