Sharjah 24 – WAM: His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, met with Arab Ministers of Finance participating in the tenth Arab Fiscal Forum, held Monday as part of the World Governments Summit 2026 in Dubai.

High-level UAE leadership attends
The meeting was attended by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence, and His Highness Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, First Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Minister of Finance.

Strengthening Arab economic cooperation
His Highness Sheikh Mohammed praised the strong Arab participation at the summit, affirming the UAE’s enduring relations with Arab countries. He highlighted the World Governments Summit as a key platform for shaping shared fiscal and economic visions and emphasized the need for integration, unified efforts, and knowledge exchange to address global economic challenges.

Arab ministers commend UAE role
Arab Ministers of Finance commended the UAE’s continued success in hosting the summit, praising its role in advancing Arab economic cooperation and strengthening joint action to enhance financial and economic stability.

Forum focus: Future fiscal policies
The tenth Arab Fiscal Forum, organised jointly by the Arab Monetary Fund (AMF), the IMF, and the UAE Ministry of Finance, focused on future fiscal policy design. Sessions addressed fiscal challenges, digital policies, AI and technology in governance, improving public spending efficiency, development financing, and public-private partnership opportunities.

Record participation at WGS 2026
The World Governments Summit 2026 is witnessing record participation, with more than 60 heads of state and government, over 500 ministers, and representatives from more than 150 governments. The summit features over 445 sessions and more than 6,250 participants, including global leaders, experts, and Nobel laureates.
