As part of efforts to strengthen the skills of government and private sector leaders in Sharjah, the Sharjah Department of Government Relations (DGR) has announced the launch of its first specialised training programme in protocol and diplomacy.
Sheikh Fahim bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Sharjah Department of Government Relations (DGR), revealed that the programme is being delivered in cooperation with the AGDA. It targets senior officials from Sharjah government entities as well as leaders from the private sector, with the aim of enhancing their professional readiness to represent the UAE and the Emirate of Sharjah at international forums.
In remarks to “Sharjah 24,” Sheikh Fahim said the programme is the outcome of a cooperation agreement signed between DGR and the AGDA during the International Government Communication Forum last year. He noted that the start of implementation reflects the seriousness of the partnership and its focus on practical application and capacity building.
He explained that the programme is designed for heads and directors of government entities in Sharjah, along with selected private sector leaders. It focuses on developing core competencies in protocol and diplomacy through a specialised training framework delivered by the academy that combines theoretical foundations with applied practice.
