Manuscripts House receives local and international delegations

Sharjah24: Sharjah’s Manuscripts House received Professor Dr Masduqi Ahmed, President of Al Shafi’iyah Islamic University in the Republic of Indonesia, accompanied by Indra Faisal, Consul General, and their delegation. They were welcomed by Saeed Al Maadawi, General Supervisor of the Manuscripts House.

The visiting delegation toured the permanent exhibition of rare Qur’ans, manuscripts and documents, and explored the various sections of the house. They expressed admiration for the collection and praised the efforts of His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, in preserving Islamic manuscript heritage and raising awareness of its importance. The delegation also recorded a message of appreciation in the visitors’ book.

Educational delegation from Dubai

The Manuscripts House also received a delegation from the Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Islamic Institute in Dubai, comprising teachers and students, as part of educational visits to the centre.
