The Sharjah Health Authority has made its debut at the World Health Expo (WHX), currently under way at Expo City Dubai, in collaboration with local health authorities and the Ministry of Health and Prevention.

Dr Abdulaziz Al Muhairi, Chairman of the Sharjah Health Authority, said the participation reflects the authority’s commitment to strengthening its presence on the international healthcare stage and sharing Sharjah’s experience with a global audience.

Comprehensive healthcare initiative

In a statement to “Sharjah 24”, Dr Al Muhairi noted that the authority is presenting a range of its flagship initiatives and specialised projects in the Emirate of Sharjah. Chief among them is the Jawaher Boston Medical District project, alongside efforts to position Sharjah Healthcare City as the largest medical free zone in the region. Visitors are also being introduced to the authority’s advanced healthcare facilities and the high standard of services offered to patients and beneficiaries.

He added that the authority was honoured by a visit from Reem bint Ibrahim Al Hashimy, Minister of State for International Cooperation, during which several key healthcare projects were showcased. Special focus was placed on the Jawaher Boston Medical District, which is set to become a significant addition to the healthcare sector in Sharjah and the wider UAE.
