All three sides share identical records in points and victories, leaving set ratio to separate them ahead of the concluding fixtures.
Sharjah currently lead the standings. The hosts have won 10 sets and conceded just one, giving them a set ratio of 9. Al Fatat sit second with nine sets won and three conceded, for a ratio of 6. Al Wasl are third, also with nine sets won but four conceded, giving them a ratio of 5.
Thursday’s schedule opens at 12:00 pm with Syria’s Taldara Club facing Iraq’s Akkad Ankawa Club. The match will determine final rankings outside the medal positions.
The second match sees Lebanon’s Club Jeunesse Bauchrieh take on Al Wasl in a match that could directly influence the destination of the gold medal. The competition will then conclude with a decisive top-of-the-table clash between Sharjah Women’s Sports Club and Al Fatat Sports Club.
The championship scenarios are clear. Sharjah will secure the gold medal with a 3–0 or 3–1 victory over Al Fatat. The Kuwaiti team will be crowned champions if they defeat Sharjah by the same margin, 3–0 or 3–1.
If either Sharjah or Al Fatat win by a 3–2 scoreline, and Al Wasl defeat Jeunesse Bauchrieh 3–0 or 3–1, the Emirati side will claim the title on a set ratio. However, should Al Wasl lose to the Lebanese side, they will drop out of medal contention and finish fourth overall.
The narrow margins underline the intensity of this year’s competition, with the title set to be determined in the final two matches of the tournament. With three teams still in mathematical contention and set difference playing a decisive role, Thursday’s finale promises a dramatic conclusion to the volleyball programme at AWST 2026.
