Sharjah 24: The 23rd Sharjah Heritage Days (SHD) festival is ongoing at Heritage Square in the heart of Sharjah. Various activities and programs merge entertainment, culture, and education, reflecting the lasting presence of heritage in the community's consciousness.

Revive competitive spirit

In a lively atmosphere that enhances the connection of younger generations to their cultural roots, the Sharjah Heritage Institute's House of Traditional Games showcased a segment of traditional games on the festival stage, which generated enthusiastic participation from the audience.

The segment kicked off with "Al Karabi," a game that tests both balance and physical strength. Two teams compete against each other, with players hopping on one leg in an effort to reach the opposing team's line or knock them down.

The second game was "Al Musalsal," a team game focused on speed and hit-and-run tactics. In this game, one player is tied to a rope on the ground and tries to free themselves by chasing and touching their teammates. This fosters a spirit of challenge, promotes physical fitness, and encourages teamwork.
