Sharjah24: Brest defeated visiting Marseille 2-0 in the 23rd round of Ligue 1, handing coach Habib Beye his first loss in charge. Ludovic Aguerk scored twice (10’, 29’) to secure the win, lifting Brest to 30 points in 11th place. Marseille remain fourth with 40 points, now 13 points behind leaders Lens and 5 behind third-placed Lyon.

Aguerk shines with two headers

 

Aguerk opened the scoring with a powerful header in the 10th minute and doubled the lead with another header in the 29th minute.

 

Missed chance for Marseille

 

Marseille’s English star Mason Greenwood missed a penalty in the 81st minute, which could have reduced the deficit, as goalkeeper Grégoire Coudert made the save.
