Sharjah24: FC Bayern Munich, the German champions, announced the extension of veteran goalkeeper Manuel Neuer’s contract for an additional year until 2027.
The 40-year-old goalkeeper’s contract had been set to expire on June 30 this year. However, he asked the club for more time to consider his future after suffering two muscle tear injuries in February and March.
Neuer, who will remain in Munich for a 16th consecutive year, said: “It was a clear decision after careful consideration.” He added: “All the conditions are available here. With this team, we can defeat any opponent.”
