SEDD discusses enhancing cooperation with KSQHF

Sharjah24: His Excellency Hamad Ali Abdullah Al Mahmoud, Chairman of the Sharjah Economic Development Department (SEDD) and Member of the Executive Council of the Emirate of Sharjah, received a delegation from the Khalid bin Sultan Al Qasimi Humanitarian Foundation (KSQHF). The delegation included Her Excellency Mariam Al Hammadi, Director General of NAMA Women Advancement and Board Member of the Khalid bin Sultan Al Qasimi Humanitarian Foundation, and Logan Murad, Director General of the Foundation, along with the accompanying delegation. The meeting was attended by a number of officials from the Department and aimed to explore avenues of cooperation and enhance coordination between the two sides in support of humanitarian causes worldwide.

Strengthening relations and humanitarian efforts

At the outset of the meeting, His Excellency Hamad Ali Abdullah Al Mahmoud welcomed the delegation, expressing his pleasure at the visit and its role in strengthening various aspects of cooperation. He also commended the dedicated and ongoing humanitarian efforts carried out by those leading the Foundation.

The two sides discussed several shared issues serving the public interest and exchanged ideas on ways to cooperate in promoting a culture of humanitarian work among economic establishments. They also addressed mechanisms and approaches to enhancing collaboration in ways that serve various sectors in Sharjah.

Supporting humanitarian and social causes

His Excellency the Chairman praised the humanitarian role played by the Khalid bin Sultan Al Qasimi Humanitarian Foundation in supporting charitable, social, and humanitarian causes under the gracious patronage of Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, Chairperson of the Foundation.

He added that cooperation and coordination among various government entities and institutions operating in the Emirate represent an important milestone in strengthening collaboration and exchanging perspectives. He noted that the meeting provided an opportunity to discuss ways to enhance strategic partnerships and cooperation in the charitable and humanitarian fields.

Commitment to community partnership and sustainable development

For his part, Abdulaziz Omar Al Midfa, Director of the Government Communication Department at the Sharjah Economic Development Department, emphasised the Department’s commitment to achieving the principle of community partnership and advancing all aspects of comprehensive and sustainable development in the Emirate. He explained that this aligns with the Department’s efforts to contribute to building a leading model in corporate social responsibility.

He reaffirmed the Department’s dedication to participating in humanitarian work in cooperation with relevant entities in the Emirate, considering it an important social role stemming from its community and humanitarian responsibilities.

Developing joint initiatives to serve the community

The delegation expressed their appreciation for the warm reception and the prompt response they received from the Department. They also affirmed their commitment to strengthening cooperation and coordination with the Department to develop a joint working framework that produces outcomes serving humanitarian and community fields.

They highlighted the importance of advancing humanitarian efforts and implementing a number of initiatives between the Khalid bin Sultan Al Qasimi Humanitarian Foundation and the Department to better serve the community.

Towards a new phase of strategic partnership

At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides stressed the importance of reinforcing the principle of partnership in support of charitable and humanitarian work in the UAE. They also underscored the need to adopt initiatives that enhance corporate social responsibility across government and private entities and pave the way for a new phase of strategic partnership that will have a direct impact on the efforts of both parties in the humanitarian field.
