The festival, scheduled to run from 26 February to 11 March, is being held in line with the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, to enhance the city’s standing as a leading heritage and tourism destination.
The press conference was organised by the Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority in collaboration with strategic partners, including the Al Dhaid Municipal Council, Al Dhaid Municipality, and Al Wusta Channel, and took place at Al Dhaid Fort.
Khalid Jassim Al Midfa confirmed that the festival’s activities will begin on Thursday and continue over a two-week period until 11 March. He noted that the event coincides with key projects recently inaugurated by His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah, including the Wildlife District, Al Shariah Market in Al Dhaid, the Al Shariah area, and Al Madarsa Fort.
In remarks to “Sharjah 24”, Al Midfa said the festival will offer a wide range of activities for all age groups, from families and children to young people. The programme will feature daily performances and various shows combining education and entertainment on the main stage, along with valuable prizes and interactive experiences that directly engage the audience.
