SGMB: Circulated Sharjah fire videos are outdated and misleading

The Bureau clarified that some of the shared footage relates to previous fire incidents, while other clips concern a fire caused by an electrical short circuit. It affirmed that none of the circulated materials are in any way connected to the current international developments.

SGMB urged the public and media outlets to exercise accuracy and responsibility and to rely exclusively on official sources and authorised channels for information. It emphasised the need to refrain from sharing unverified content, given its potential to confuse and mislead the public.

The Bureau also warned that anyone who publishes or republishes such misleading content may face legal action under UAE law.
