Inter extend lead with win over Genoa

Sharjah24: Inter Milan bounced back from the disappointment of their UEFA Champions League play-off exit to FK Bodø/Glimt on Tuesday by defeating visitors Genoa CFC 2–0 in round 27 of the Serie A.

The result moved Inter 13 points clear at the top of the table ahead ofneighboursAC Milan, who face U.S. Cremonese on Sunday.

Goals secure seventh straight league win

Federico Dimarco opened the scoring in the 31st minute, while substitute HakanÇalhanoğlusealed the victory with a penalty in the 69th minute.

Inter raised their tally to 67 points, recording a seventh consecutive league win and their 14th victory in the last 15 matches, with only one draw against SSC Napoli (2–2). Genoa remain 14th on 27 points.

Dominance over Genoa continues
