Abdullah bin Zayed meets Italian PM on ties and security

Exchange of greetings

His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan conveyed the greetings of President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to Giorgia Meloni, along with his wishes for progress and prosperity for Italy and its people.

Meloni reciprocated, sending her greetings to the UAE President and wishing continued prosperity and well-being for the UAE and its people.

Bilateral cooperation and strategic partnership

The leaders discussed various frameworks of bilateral cooperation within the strategic partnership between the UAE and Italy. They reviewed opportunities for growth and development across multiple sectors, including economy, trade, investment, renewable energy, sustainability, and artificial intelligence, aiming to support comprehensive development and sustainable economic prosperity for both countries.

Regional and international developments

The meeting addressed current regional and international developments, particularly in the wake of Iranian missile attacks on the UAE and neighboring countries. His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed thanked Meloni for Italy’s fraternal stance and full solidarity with the UAE.

Both sides discussed the importance of strengthening efforts to enhance sustainable security and stability in the region.
