Manchester City drew 2–2 with 17th-placed Nottingham Forest, earning their 60th point from 29 matches. Goals for City came from Ghanaian forward Antoine Semenyo (31) and Spain’s Rodri (62). Forest’s goals were scored by Morgan Gibbs-White (56) and Elliott Anderson (76).
Semenyo opened the scoring with a close-range left-foot finish from a cross by French winger Ryan Cherki. This was his 15th Premier League goal this season, including 10 for former club Bournemouth and five for City. Rodri restored City’s lead with a header from a Ryan Aït-Nouri corner, but Anderson equalised with a powerful right-foot shot from outside the area. Late chances from Semenyo and Bernardo Silva were narrowly missed.
Newcastle United claimed a last-minute 2–1 win over visiting Manchester United, despite playing the second half with ten men following the sending-off of Jacob Ramsey.
Anthony Gordon opened the scoring for Newcastle from a penalty he won himself after being fouled by United captain Bruno Fernandes (45+6). Brazilian midfielder Casemiro equalised for United (45+9), but Danish substitute William Osula scored the decisive goal in stoppage time (90). Newcastle now have 39 points in 12th place, while United remain third with 51 points, missing the chance to capitalise on Aston Villa’s defeat.
