Arsenal advanced to the semi-finals of the UEFA Champions League following their 0–0 draw at home to Sporting CP in the return leg.
The London club sealed qualification for the last four, where they will meet Spain’s Atletico Madrid once again. Arsenal had previously defeated them 4–0 in the unified group stage, and secured progression thanks to a 1–0 away victory in the first leg a week earlier, with the goal scored by Germany’s Kai Havertz in stoppage time.
This marks Arsenal’s second consecutive semi-final appearance, achieved during a challenging period late in a demanding season, having lost three of their last four matches across all competitions prior to this encounter.
