Arab Cultural Club honors Ramadan Quran competition winners

Sharjah 24: The Arab Cultural Club in Sharjah hosted a ceremony on Wednesday evening to celebrate the winners of its Ramadan Quran competition.

The competition attracted a large turnout and included categories for children and women, divided into four levels: Level 1 for memorizing one part (Juz'), Level 2 for memorizing two parts, Level 3 for memorizing four parts, and Level 4 for memorizing six parts. The competition was overseen by Imam Sheikh Abdul Rahman Mahmoud.

The award ceremony was held in the presence of Ali Al-Mughni, Vice Chairman of the Board, Diaa Al-Dash, Head of the Technical Committee, calligrapher and artist Khalifa Al-Shimi, the club's exhibitions manager, and a large audience of participants' families and club members.

Ali Al-Mughni said: “The Ramadan Holy Quran Competition is an annual tradition that the Arab Cultural Club in Sharjah has been organizing in celebration of the holy month, the month of the Quran and faith, and to encourage children, youth and the public in general to take care of the Quran by memorizing and reciting it, as well as in line with the constant directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, who constantly urges parents to learn the Quran and teach it to their children.

In terms of results, 21 contestants won the competition, and the results of the first level - one part came as follows: in first place: Ahmed Sharif Sayed Al-Hadi, Omar Abdul-Razzaq Al Iskafi and Karam Muhammad Al-Haffar, in second place Aisha Mustafa Al-Sayed, and in third place Raneem Khaled Abu Asaba.

The results for Level Two (two parts) are as follows: First place went to Majd Muhammad Al-Haffar and Majd Abdul-Razzaq Al-Iskafi; second place to Basmala Ahmed Hamdi Sayed; and third place to Nourin Ahmed Abdullah. The results for Level Three (four parts, children) are as follows: First place went to Maryam Yousef Al-Marzouqi and Shamma Yousef Al-Marzouqi; second place to Hour Ahmed Abdullah; and third place to Lian Marhaf Al-Saadi and Maria Muhammad Al-Darakshali.

The results for Level Three (four parts, women) are as follows: Hala Muhammad Hisham. The results for Level Four (six parts, children) are as follows: First place went to Muhammad Khader Abdul-Razzaq Al-Iskafi; second place to Tasneem Ahmed Abdullah; and third place to Zuhair Muhammad Al-Darakshali. Finally, the results for Level Four (six parts, women) are as follows: First place went to Hasnaa Muhammad Al-Sadiq; second place to Rahaf Muhammad Ghayath; and third place to Alaa Abdul-Razzaq.
