Sharjah24: Substitutes Viktor Gyökeres of Sweden and 16-year-old Max Doman led Arsenal to a hard-fought 2–0 victory over Everton in Matchweek 30 of the English Premier League, temporarily extending the club’s lead at the top of the table to 10 points ahead of Manchester City.

Gyökeres and Doman struck late in the match, scoring in the 89th and 90+7th minutes respectively. At just 16 years old, Doman became the youngest goalscorer in Premier League history and the youngest scorer in Arsenal’s history.

Arsenal strengthen title push

The win marked Arsenal’s sixth victory, alongside two draws, in their last eight league matches, lifting their tally to 70 points at the top of the standings.

The result also provides a timely morale boost ahead of Arsenal’s upcoming match against Germany’s Bayer Leverkusen on Tuesday in the second leg of the UEFA Champions League round of 16, after the first leg ended 1–1.
