Sharjah 24: Liverpool drew 1-1 with Tottenham in the 30th round of the English Premier League.

At Anfield, thanks to a free kick by Hungarian Dominik Szoboszlai in the 18th minute, in a match played without their Egyptian star Mohamed Salah (who later came on as a substitute in the second half, as did Frenchman Hugo Ekiketi), Liverpool seemed poised to deepen Tottenham's woes and extend their record-breaking losing streak against the London club to six matches. However, Brazilian Richarlison snatched a draw in the 90th minute with a pass from Frenchman Randall Kolo Moine after a long ball from Italian goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario.

Securing first point

This draw may not save Tottenham's new Croatian manager, Igor Tudor, who lost all four of his first matches, including a 5-2 defeat to Atlético Madrid in the first leg of their Champions League round of 16 tie midweek, before finally securing his first point on Sunday.

Tottenham have managed only one win in their last 12 league games, leaving them seriously threatened with relegation for the first time since the end of the 1977-78 season.

The London club sits in 16th place, just one point ahead of their neighbours West Ham in 18th, while Liverpool moved up to 49 points and missed the chance to overtake Aston Villa for fourth place on goal difference.

Thus, Arne Slot's side prepares shakyly for their Champions League round of 16 second leg against Galatasaray, having lost the first leg 1-0.
