Sharjah Forum for Outstanding Arab Theatre Students kicks off

Platform for emerging talent

Sara Mahkoum, member of the organising committee, said the forum reflects Sharjah’s ongoing role as a hub for theatrical creativity, attracting outstanding students from theatre institutes and colleges across the Arab world.

Rich cultural and training experience

She said in statements to “Sharjah 24” that the forum offers participants an immersive experience through attending theatre performances, seminars, and evening discussions. The programme also includes lectures and practical workshops led by leading experts, as well as cultural tours across Sharjah.

Diverse cultural programme

The broader programme features forums, seminars, and cultural evenings. The second day included a session titled “Wasla… Towards a comprehensive database for Arab theatre practitioners,” attended by theatre professionals and festival guests.
