Sharjah 24: The Emergency and Public Safety Committee at Al Hamriyah Cultural and Sports Club successfully mitigated the impact of the recent low-pressure system by implementing proactive measures to protect members and ensure the safety of facilities.

Early preparedness and planning

Following forecasts from the National Center of Meteorology, the committee began early preparations under the guidance of Chairman Humaid Hasan Al Shamsi and Vice Chairman Ahmed Ali Al Ketbi. A series of intensive meetings were held to develop emergency response plans and assign responsibilities.

Coordinated team efforts

The committee comprises specialised teams covering public safety, maintenance, facilities management, security, and logistics, all working to ensure the highest standards of readiness and safety.

Key actions implemented

More than 20 measures have been carried out, including providing alternative accommodation in certain cases, activating remote work for members outside the club, and enhancing coordination with key entities such as the Sharjah Sports Council and Al Hamriyah Municipality.

Ongoing monitoring and continuity

The committee continues to monitor potential risks and operates under a business continuity approach to ensure smooth operations and rapid emergency response, while also reviewing requirements for the safe resumption of sporting activities for staff and players.
