Sharjah 24: UAE Team rider Mohamed Al Matiouei was crowned champion of the UAE National Road Cycling Championship (Elite category), held in Al Ain, with strong participation of 140 cyclists across various categories.

The elite race featured 64 riders over a 110 km distance, producing a highly competitive finish. Al Matiouei secured first place in the closing metres, ahead of Abdulaziz Al Hajri of the Residency team, who finished second, while Saif Mayouf of Shabab Al Ahli Club took third place.

In the Under-23 category, 18 riders competed over 110 km, with Youssef Amiri of Al Nasr SC claiming victory. Khalid Al Nuaimi finished second, while Mohammed Al Aleeli of Shabab Al Ahli came third.

In the Youth category, featuring 43 riders over 90 km, Salama Al Shamsi of Abu Dhabi finished first, ahead of Abdulrahman Nasser of Al Nasr SC, with Saif Thani Al Ali of Sharjah FC in third place.

In the Masters category, with 15 participants over 110 km, Tareq Obaid of the Residency team took first place, followed by Salem Al Shumaili of Al Nasr SC in second, and Ahmed Abdulrahman (Amateurs category) in third.

The winners across all categories were crowned by Mansour Bu Osaiba, Chairman of the UAE Cycling Federation, and Youssef Mirza, Vice Chairman and Head of the Technical Committee.
