The ceremony began with the UAE national anthem, followed by a recitation of verses from the Holy Quran. Judge Dr Mohammed Obaid Al Kaabi, Chairman of the Judicial Department, then delivered a speech affirming that the development of the judicial system in Sharjah reflects the vision of His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, who established the foundations of the rule of law as a key guarantee for protecting rights.

He noted that this vision has driven the judicial system to continue modernisation, enabling qualitative advancements in performance efficiency and the quality of judicial outputs in line with the emirate’s aspirations.
Al Kaabi highlighted that the Judicial Department has moved beyond traditional procedural updates to present an advanced model of “Digital Justice,” where the digital litigation system has brought about a fundamental transformation placing the user at the centre of the judicial process. He stressed that this achievement, realised in record time, is the result of sustained efforts and strategic integration between work teams and partners, who successfully transformed technical and operational challenges into innovative opportunities, reinforcing the judiciary as an integrated, flexible, and highly efficient system.

The Chairman of the Judicial Department also addressed future plans aimed at enhancing “Judicial Foresight” through the smart adoption of emerging technologies and ensuring the sustainability of excellence in services. He explained that the next phase requires stronger institutional integration and qualitative efforts to maintain leadership in the judicial system, while reaffirming commitment to continued dedication in serving the nation and its people.
The Chairman of the Judicial Council and attendees watched a presentation highlighting key achievements made in cooperation with strategic partners, as well as the transitional phase witnessed by the emirate’s judicial system. The main numbers included the formation of 14 internal work teams that enhanced operational flexibility and readiness for implementation, in addition to meetings with various federal and local entities that supported knowledge exchange, initiatives, digital connectivity, human capital development, and the signing of several agreements.
His Highness inaugurated the digital rental disputes platform, a judicial platform aimed at restructuring procedures for resolving rental disputes by transitioning from traditional processes to full digitalisation, including virtual hearings, as well as the issuance and archiving of enforceable rulings within a secure digital platform/portfolio.

The Chairman of the Judicial Council also viewed a video presentation outlining the key features of the digital rental disputes platform, launched in cooperation with the “Aqari” platform affiliated with the Sharjah Digital Department. The presentation also highlighted 2025 figures, with more than 360,000 rental contracts registered, reflecting strong rental activity and a robust investment environment, while the Rental Disputes Centre resolved over 15,000 rental disputes.
His Highness honoured the Judicial Council’s strategic partners and supporters, presenting them with commemorative shields and wishing them continued success and cooperation to support the development of the emirate’s government work system.
The ceremony was attended, alongside the Chairman of the Judicial Council, by Sheikh Mohammed bin Humaid Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Department of Statistics and Community Development; Sheikh Majid bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Districts Affairs Department; Sheikh Saud bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Director General of the Sharjah Digital Department; Sheikh Faisal bin Ali Al Mualla, Secretary-General of the Judicial Council, as well as a number of senior officials, members of the Judicial Council, heads and directors of federal and local government entities, and members of the judiciary.
