Sheikh Mohammed revealed a new framework to transform 50% of UAE government sectors, services, and operations within two years using Agentic AI—advanced systems capable of autonomous decision-making and execution—marking a global first in large-scale government adoption.
He highlighted that AI will serve as an executive partner in government, capable of analysing data, managing operations, making decisions, and improving services in real time without human intervention.
The transformation will be implemented over two years, with the performance of ministers and government entities assessed based on their ability to adopt AI technologies and implement new systems efficiently.
The government will provide continuous specialised training to employees to ensure they master AI tools, aiming to build world-leading expertise in government transformation.
Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan will oversee the initiative, supported by a dedicated taskforce chaired by Mohammad Abdullah Al Gergawi to drive execution across federal entities.
The initiative builds on over two decades of digital government evolution, including eGovernment, mobile services, and national systems like UAE Pass, as well as the UAE’s early leadership in AI strategy and governance.
During the meeting, the Cabinet also approved multiple policies and initiatives to enhance government services, including frameworks for digital records, data sharing, service standards, and reducing bureaucracy.
Additional approvals covered trade, sustainability, and innovation initiatives, including biofuel projects, global partnerships, and preparations to host major international events, reinforcing the UAE’s role as a global hub for innovation and development.
