Sharjah Art Foundation hosts media tour for new exhibitions

Sharjah24: Jiwon Lee, Head of the Curatorial Department at Sharjah Art Foundation, said the foundation organised a special media tour for journalists from across the country at Al Mureijah Art Spaces, which showcased two major exhibitions currently on display.

Lee explained that the tour aimed to introduce media representatives to the foundation’s latest exhibitions and to provide deeper insight into its artistic programmes.

Jorge Tacla retrospective

One of the featured exhibitions is a comprehensive survey of Chilean artist Jorge Tacla, presenting works from the 1980s to the present day and offering a broad perspective on his artistic journey and evolution.

Ahad Alamoudi exhibition

The second exhibition features Saudi artist Ahad Alamoudi, based in Jeddah, and showcases a selection of her previous works alongside newly commissioned pieces.

Engaging media with cultural programmes

Lee expressed appreciation for the strong media presence, noting that such engagements help share more in-depth stories about the foundation’s exhibitions and cultural initiatives with wider audiences.
