The Madrid native had two chances to break Sinner’s serve in the opening game, while the Italian made the most of his own opportunities to move 3–2 ahead.
Sinner broke Jodar’s serve again two games later before wrapping up the first set in 44 minutes.
The Spanish player showed greater patience in the second set, accumulating points and earning five break-point opportunities. Each time, however, Sinner raised his level to hold firm, forcing a 6–6 tie-break.
In the tie-break, the world number one appeared physically sharper, giving the young Spaniard a lesson by not conceding a single point, sealing the match and reaching the Madrid semi-finals for the first time in his career.
