Sharjah 24: Mohammed Ali Al Hammadi, Board Member of the UAE Handball Federation, Assistant Secretary General and Head of the Coaches Committee, and Yasser Allay Al Naqbi, Board Member and Head of the Referees Committee, crowned Sharjah “B” as champions of the UAE Youth Handball Cup for the 2025–2026 season.

Sharjah “B” edge Sharjah “A” in final

Sharjah “B” defeated Sharjah “A” 25–23 in a closely contested final held on Sunday evening at Samnan Hall in Sharjah Sports Club. The match remained evenly balanced before Sharjah “B” secured victory in the closing minutes.

Continued dominance in youth competitions

The result extends Sharjah Club’s dominance in youth handball, with both teams maintaining the title within the club for the ninth consecutive season.

Match officials and organisation

The final was officiated by referees Yaqout Khater Al Saadi and Khamis Al Ashar, with Bader Nasser and Mohammed Ismail serving as scorers.

Strong season for Sharjah teams

Sharjah Club confirmed its strong showing this season, with Sharjah “B” winning the league title and Sharjah “A” finishing as runners-up. Sharjah “B” also represented the club in the Federation Cup alongside the senior team, which Sharjah went on to win.

Tournament format and participating teams

The tournament was played in a single-elimination format at neutral venues, featuring 16 teams: Sharjah B, Sharjah A, Kalba, Al Bataeh, Al Jazira, Al Madam, Al Ain, Khorfakkan, Shabab Al Ahli, Al Nasr, Al Wasl, Al Dhafra, Al Dhaid, Al Wahda, Dibba Al Hisn, and Mleiha.
