The program uses modern visual techniques that incorporate artificial intelligence to present information, create scenes, and reshape the stories related to each location in an appealing and engaging manner.
The program guides the viewer through a mental and visual exploration of the area's memories. It uncovers hidden stories, including “Aqoub Al Tayara” and its link to a plane crash there, as well as Jabal Mleiha, which shows a geological period when the area was covered by seawater millions of years ago. It also highlights the historic Al Sharia Mosque, the oldest petrol station in the Al Faya area, and other historical landmarks.
Latifa Hilal Al Tunaiji, Director of Programs at Al Wusta Channel from Al Dhaid, said, “By using artificial intelligence technologies to improve television production, we succeeded in the ‘Landmarks of Al Wusta’ program. We took viewers on a vibrant visual journey to the past. AI-recreated scenes were mixed with real footage to show the remarkable changes between eras.”
