Families showcase their work
The exhibition opened on Thursday evening, 27 February 2026, at Al Rahmaniya Mall and will run until 2 March. The Intaj Centre, which supports home-based businesses and productive families across the emirate, organises the exhibition.
Majda Al Awadhi, Director of the Intaj Centre, said eight families are taking part in person this year, while a further 25 are contributing products to the exhibition. The display also features handicrafts produced by the centre itself. The range of goods on offer includes fashion and accessories under the “Anaqa” line, homemade food products through “Atayeb”, and handcrafted items presented within the “Ibdaa” collection. The exhibition welcomes visitors during the evening hours.
Al Awadhi said the exhibition carries a clear message: the department remains committed to supporting and empowering productive families, helping them improve their circumstances and develop the creative skills in which they excel. The exhibition allows families to put their products directly in front of shoppers, giving them the chance to sell their work face-to-face and earn money from it. For some of the families taking part, what they earn over these few days can help with everyday expenses and take a little of the pressure off at home.
Supporting home-based businesses since 2010
Founded in 2010, the Intaj Centre has focused on encouraging home-based work as a way for families on social support to supplement their income and rely more on their skills. Through training, qualification programmes and organised exhibitions, the centre helps participants refine their products, improve quality and enhance competitiveness in the local market. The goal, Al Awadhi said, is to support families on the path toward independence and a dignified standard of living.
