Work on the park began on April 30. The Projects Management and Facilities Maintenance Department drew up the engineering plans and got straight to work, pushing through at a pace until the park was ready— in less than a month from breaking ground to opening day.
Covering 5,000 square metres, the park includes a football pitch, a children's play area, seating areas, internal pathways and lighting. Three thousand square metres have been laid with grass to give the space a clean, open feel and make it comfortable for visitors year-round.
The municipality said it made sure the park was built to strong specifications, with the right equipment, crews, and materials brought in to get the job done—covering landscaping, irrigation networks, and all supporting facilities.
Parks are being opened across Sharjah's residential neighbourhoods as part of a broader effort to improve the city's appearance and give families more places to spend time outside. Each park is designed with planted areas—grass, flowers, trees, and shrubs— to create a genuinely pleasant environment rather than just a functional one.
