Sharjah 24: His Excellency Major General Saif Al Zari Al Shamsi, Commander-in-Chief of Sharjah Police (SP), emphasised taking advantage of the winter season to practice various sports, which reflects on the health of individuals and enhances the quality of life.
This came during his participation in the cycling event, which was launched on Thursday, organised by the Sports and Social Activities Department of the Media and Public Relations Department, on Al Bataeh-Al Faya track for a distance of 8 km, in conjunction with the Sharjah Police Sports Month, and the “Yes to Sports… No to Drugs” campaign.
The event witnessed the participation of His Excellency Brigadier General Abdullah Mubarak bin Amir, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of SP, general managers, directors of departments, senior officers at SP, and the presence of a number of administrators and trainers of the Sharjah Police Club. The total number of participants in the event reached 38 participants.
His Excellency appreciated the participation of top officials of SP in this sporting event, which in turn enhances the value of sportsmanship and raises the level of performance and security readiness.
