Sharjah24: Conservationists in Sharjah Aquarium have launched a noteworthy campaign called "Marine Environment Cleanup" to protect and preserve the marine ecosystem. This yearly event, with wide participation from multiple government entities, aims to raise awareness about the environment and safeguard the fragile marine ecosystems in Sharjah.
The Sharjah Aquarium's Secretary, Rashid Juma Al Shamsi highlighted the significance of the annual marine environment cleanup campaign as a vital initiative in promoting environmental harmony. The institution's continuous dedication to safeguarding the marine environment from pollutants and contamination is evident.

Al Shamsi highlighted the participation of over 40 divers from various backgrounds and age groups in this campaign, who gathered on Maryam Island in Sharjah.   He added that the divers worked together to clean up the seabed, helping to maintain the cleanliness and well-being of the marine environment.

He also noted that this initiative is part of Sharjah Aquarium's commitment to preserving the marine environment and educating the public about the importance of protecting ecosystems. The campaign garnered substantial supporting from government entities, highlighting the vital role that public institutions play in preserving the environment.
