FANN presented two virtual workshops supervised by trainer Sahar Abdullah. The first, titled “Stop Motion (Level One – Basics)”, aimed to introduce participants to the fundamentals of animating still images and transforming simple designs into moving scenes in a creative and engaging way through the production of short videos based on visual storytelling and the gradual movement of elements.
FANN also organised the “Digital Animation (Canva)” workshop, which focused on teaching the basics of digital animation using the Canva programme by combining illustrations, text and movement to produce innovative scenes and short videos. The workshop also introduced participants to the fundamentals of visual design and digital animation techniques
In another initiative, FANN concluded the “Photography – Level One” programme, organised in cooperation with Sharjah Children at Al Qarayen Children’s Centre and presented by trainer Noha Hamza Al Hassan. The programme targeted children aged between six and 12 years.
The programme included training students in the basics of photography using Nikon cameras and shooting in automatic mode, alongside practical applications covering portrait photography, motion and freeze photography, and close-up photography. Participants were also introduced to the fundamentals of video filming and producing short interviews using the camera.
The programme further contributed to enhancing participants’ visual observation and teamwork skills, while developing their ability to choose suitable shots and express themselves creatively through visual media.
FANN affirmed that these programmes form part of its commitment to empowering children and young people to discover their creative abilities and develop their media and artistic skills through interactive workshops that combine knowledge with practical application, helping to build a generation capable of expressing ideas through innovative and modern methods.
FANN also confirmed the continuation of the “Photography – Level One” programme throughout June, with weekly workshops set to be organised at the Al Heerah, Al Khalidiya and Halwan Children’s Centres affiliated with Sharjah Children, with the aim of giving more children the opportunity to discover their talents and develop their skills in photography and visual media.
