Sharjah24: Jamal Salem Al-Tarifi, President of Al Qasimia University, inaugurated yesterday the Al Qasimia University Symposium on Islamic Economics titled "Investing Through Electronic Trading Platforms: Applications, Challenges, and Future Prospects". The symposium, organised by the Sharjah Centre for Islamic Economics at Al Qasimia University, was attended by His Excellency Dr. Qutb Mustafa Sano, Secretary-General of the International Islamic Fiqh Academy in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, along with researchers and experts in the field of Islamic economics, and a wide participation of stakeholders and investors in this field.
Professor Dr. Awad Al-Khalaf, Director of Al Qasimia University, emphasised the importance of the symposium in exploring investment through electronic trading platforms and linking it to the needs of the labour market and the developments of digital Islamic economics, ensuring the development of human resources and the exchange of experiences between investors and experts.

Al-Khalaf stressed that organising this symposium reflects Al Qasimia University's commitment to engaging with the community and providing scientific and practical support in the fields of investment and Islamic economics, in line with the vision of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammed Al Qasimi, the founder of Al Qasimia University, in serving the community and monitoring modern trends in the Islamic finance industry, contributing to the dissemination of the principles and values of Islamic economics based on scientific foundations rooted in qualitative scientific research that understands the requirements of the era.

Dr. Yasser Al-Hosani, Director of the Sharjah Centre for Islamic Economics, emphasised the importance of cooperation in organising such events that shed light on contemporary applications in electronic investment trading platforms. He pointed out that this symposium aims to enhance understanding and knowledge of the challenges and opportunities presented by electronic investment, and to provide effective strategies for managing these investments in accordance with Sharia regulations, with wide participation from experienced experts in this field to offer their insights and experiences, contributing to the development of well-thought-out and effective investment strategies.

The symposium included several scientific sessions, where the first session discussed stock investment and indicators through electronic trading platforms and the experiences of banking and financial institutions. The second session focused on investment in digital currencies and forex trading through electronic trading platforms, and the legitimate solutions in dealing with digital currencies transactions.

The symposium concluded with the presentation of several recommendations on enhancing awareness of the risks and opportunities associated with investment through electronic trading platforms, and providing guidance and strategies for effectively managing those risks.
