Sharjah police host "Step and Paddle" event to boost health

Sharjah24: Lieutenant Colonel Matar Al Rashidi, Head of the Sports Activities Section at Sharjah Police, expressed his happiness at the success of the "Step and Paddle" event on Al Hamriya Beach, organised by the Police Club to promote a culture of physical activity and sport. The event was attended by Major General Abdullah Mubarak bin Amer, Commander-in-Chief of Sharjah Police, along with directors general and several senior officers.

Al-Rashdi told Sharjah 24 that the event successfully embodied the spirit of teamwork, combining walking, rowing, volleyball, and football in an atmosphere full of positive competition, fitness, and entertainment, reinforcing the concepts of health, activity, and institutional belonging.

He noted that initiatives like this reflect Sharjah Police’s vision to support sports activities, encourage staff and the community to adopt a healthy, balanced lifestyle, and instil values of cooperation, discipline, and teamwork.

In conclusion, he thanked all participants and organisers for their fruitful efforts in making the event a success, wishing the Police Club continued success in creating a positive impact for the force’s personnel.
