Sharjah 24: Sharjah Police General Command held a series of coordination meetings with the Al Riqqa, Suhaila, and Kalba neighbourhood councils to reinforce community partnership, support preventative awareness, and promote family values through initiatives and programs that incorporate residents' feedback.

Community engagement and "Year of Family" initiatives

Represented by the Community Protection and Prevention Department, Sharjah Police engaged with the councils to implement programmes aligned with the "Year of Family" initiative, aiming to foster awareness, family cohesion, and community involvement.

Leadership participation and focus on community feedback

The meetings were attended by Brigadier Ahmed Mohammed Al Marri, Director of the Community Protection and Prevention Department, his deputy Brigadier Mohammed Ali Al Ghazal, council heads, members, and specialised officers. Brigadier Al Marri highlighted the importance of direct communication with residents to understand community needs and involve them in providing suggestions and feedback, strengthening mutual trust and partnership.

Key programmes and preventative measures

Discussions included the design and implementation of preventative and community programmes such as "My Family, My Happiness," the "Our Gathering" initiative, security, traffic, and community awareness campaigns, as well as summer programs.

"Voice of the Community" initiative
