Reem Bardan: AUS Giving Day proceeds to support scholarships

Sharjah 24: Reem Bardan, Executive Director of the AUS Office of Advancement and Alumni Affairs at the American University of Sharjah, announced that the proceeds from the university's Giving Day, held on Saturday, will be dedicated to supporting student projects from diverse backgrounds.

Giving Day and the "Together We Rise" campaign

Bardan stated that the Giving Day is part of the "Together We Rise" campaign, which aims to support students from all backgrounds, including disadvantaged communities, low-income families, and students with disabilities. The event brought together various government and private sector participants, as well as individuals and companies, to support the education initiative.

Appreciation and special initiatives

In statements to Sharjah 24, Bardan expressed gratitude to Sharjah Municipality for its contribution by donating parking fee proceeds from two days to the campaign. She also highlighted the launch of an initiative to create a marble plaque inscribed with the names of graduates or donors as a token of appreciation, alongside a charity market featuring contributions from small producers who participated in the event.
