Sharjah 24: In an achievement that reinforces Sharjah's leading position in traffic safety indicators, the Sharjah Police recorded a significant decrease in the traffic accident fatality rate from January to the end of October 2025, according to the Federal Traffic Coordination monthly reports, with a rate of 1.18 deaths per 100,000 people.

Brigadier Khalid Mohammed Al Kay, Director of the Traffic and Patrols Directorate, explained: "Achieving these results reflects the strong support Sharjah Police receives from the wise leadership, in addition to the continuous and effective coordination with the Ministry of Interior, which has been a key factor in reaching these outstanding results. This excellence is also the fruit of implementing a comprehensive strategy based on key pillars, most notably: enhancing the field deployment of fixed and mobile patrols on various roads, expanding the network of radar systems and smart cameras to improve traffic control, implementing intensive awareness campaigns throughout the year in cooperation with schools, universities, and partner entities, as well as developing the rapid response system for accidents and improving coordination with relevant authorities to ensure effective handling of reports."

The Sharjah Police affirms its commitment to continuing to work according to the best modern practices in traffic management and enhancing road safety levels, which contributes to protecting lives and property and preserving the emirate’s gains in this vital area.
