Sharjah24: The Sharjah Police, in cooperation with the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation and the Sharjah Department of Municipalities Affairs, marked International Workers' Day with a series of field visits to worker accommodations and sites across Sharjah, the Central Region and the Eastern Region.

The initiative aimed to highlight the vital role workers play in development, with teams distributing gifts to workers in appreciation of their contributions, in an atmosphere of respect and gratitude.

Brigadier Dr Ahmed Saeed Al Naour, Director General of the General Directorate of Prevention and Safety, emphasised that International Workers’ Day is an opportunity to renew appreciation for workers, who are a cornerstone of society and development.

He noted that such initiatives strengthen direct communication with workers, safeguard their well-being, and reaffirm the commitment to providing a safe and dignified working environment.

Sharjah Police confirmed that the initiative forms part of its ongoing efforts to enhance workers’ quality of life and to reinforce values of respect and appreciation across society.
