Real Madrid overcomes Olympiacos in the Champions League

Sharjah24: Real Madrid secured a vital 4-3 victory against their Greek hosts, Olympiacos, in Athens, during the fifth round of the Champions League group stage.

Kylian Mbappé led his team, Real Madrid, to their first victory in four matches, scoring four goals in a "super hat-trick" to beat Olympiacos 4-3 in Athens during the fifth round of the Champions League group stage.

The French star was exceptional, netting a hat-trick in just seven minutes during the first half (22nd, 24th, and 29th minutes) before adding a fourth goal in the second half (60th minute). However, Real Madrid's injury-hit defence conceded three goals, scored by Portuguese defender Chiquinho (8th minute), Iranian defender Mehdi Taremi (52nd minute), and Moroccan defender Ayoub El Kaabi (81st minute).

First victory

Real Madrid secured their first victory after three matches, which included two consecutive draws in La Liga, where their lead over arch-rivals Barcelona was reduced to just one point, and a 1-0 defeat to Liverpool in the fourth round of the esteemed continental tournament. They also achieved their first-ever victory at Olympiacos' home ground in eight encounters.
