Coach Steve Clarke selected the first Scottish squad to appear at the global tournament in 36 years, with hopes of becoming the first Scotland team to progress beyond the World Cup group stage.
Robertson, 32, who plays as a left-back, is set to leave Liverpool at the end of the season after a nine-year spell at Anfield, during which he won two Premier League titles and the UEFA Champions League.
Midfielder John McGinn, 31, has also played a major role in Aston Villa’s revival, helping the Birmingham club reach the Europa League final and qualify for next season’s Champions League.
The Scotland squad includes goalkeepers Craig Gordon of Heart of Midlothian FC, Angus Gunn of Nottingham Forest FC, and Liam Kelly of Rangers FC.
Defenders selected are Grant Hanley of Hibernian FC, Jack Hendry of Al Ettifaq FC, Aaron Hickey of Brentford FC, Dom Hyam of Wrexham AFC, Scott McKenna of GNK Dinamo Zagreb, Nathan Patterson of Everton FC, Anthony Ralston and Kieran Tierney of Celtic FC, alongside Robertson and John Souttar of Rangers.
The midfield line-up features Ryan Christie and Ben Doak of AFC Bournemouth, Findlay Curtis of Kilmarnock FC, Lewis Ferguson of Bologna FC 1909, Billy Gilmour and Scott McTominay of SSC Napoli, John McGinn and Kenny McLean of Norwich City FC.
In attack, Scotland will rely on Che Adams of Torino FC, Lyndon Dykes of Charlton Athletic FC, George Hirst of Ipswich Town FC, Lawrence Shankland of Heart of Midlothian, and Ross Stewart of Southampton FC.
